Role Description:
This is a full-time remote role for a Payroll Administrator. The Payroll Administrator will process end-to-end payroll on a regular schedule, including validating time and attendance data, calculating wages, and ensuring timely payments to employees. The role involves managing payroll taxes, garnishments, and deductions, as well as coordinating with Employee Benefits to ensure accurate enrollment and premium withholding. The Payroll Administrator will maintain payroll records, reconcile payroll-related accounts with Accounting, and respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, tax forms, and benefits deductions. Day-to-day responsibilities also include ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, supporting audits, and identifying opportunities to improve payroll workflows and data integrity.
Qualifications:
Strong skills in Payroll Administration, including end-to-end payroll processing and compliance.
Experience handling Garnishments and related wage withholding accurately and in accordance with regulations.
Knowledge of Payroll Taxes, including tax calculations, filings, and regulatory requirements.
Understanding of Employee Benefits and their integration with payroll, such as premiums and deductions.
Foundational Accounting skills to reconcile payroll accounts and support financial reporting.
Proficiency with payroll software and HRIS systems; advanced skills in spreadsheets and data management.
Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to meet strict deadlines in a remote environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain payroll matters clearly to employees.
Relevant experience in payroll or finance; an associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Familiarity with multi-state payroll and employment regulations is a plus.
