About the role
Hiring: Senior Firmware Developer | Denver, CO | OnsiteWe are looking for an experienced Senior Firmware Developer with strong expertise in embedded systems, Embedded Linux, RTOS, and C++ development to join a 6-month contract opportunity with a strong possibility of extension.
Location: Denver, CO – 4 days onsite/week
Duration: 6 months + possible extension
Experience: 8–10+ years
Education: BE/B.Tech or Master’s in Engineering
Must-Have: Skills
- Strong C++ development experience – C++11/14/17
- Python and Perl scripting
- Embedded Linux – Yocto / Buildroot
- RTOS – FreeRTOS, ThreadX, or Zephyr
- I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, TCP/IP
- Strong experience developing and maintaining embedded firmware
- Experience with RDK-based devices, including set-top boxes, gateways, routers, broadband, video, or IoT platforms Key Technical Expertise
- Embedded C++ concepts including RAII, templates, STL, and const correctness
- ARM Cortex-M/R/A and embedded systems
- Board bring-up, BSP customization, U-Boot, secure boot, and OTA updates
- Yocto, CMake toolchains, Docker/containerized development environments
- Interrupt-driven and real-time system development
- Performance profiling and memory analysis using tools such as perf, gprof, Valgrind, ETM/ITM
- Power management and low-power embedded systems
