Role Description: This is a full-time remote role for a Packaging Engineer. The Packaging Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing packaging solutions, conducting research and development (R&D), and managing projects from concept to completion. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with cross-functional teams, optimizing packaging designs for materials and cost, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. We work with manufacturers that make the following packaging items: glass bottles and jars, plastic bottles and jars, pumps, airless, tubes, paperboard boxes, flexible plastic packaging, aluminum bottles and tubes, and more! Experience with a variety of packaging formats is important for this role, but expertise is all areas is not necessary, as long as there is a strong ability to find solutions with other packaging engineers when technical expertise is needed.
Qualifications: Packaging Engineering and Packaging Design skills Specific experience with Beauty / Personal Care packaging Significant experience with primary packaging, design, testing, QC/QA. Experience in Research and Development (R&D)Project Management skills Mechanical Engineering skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate directly with clients Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field Experience with engineering beauty and personal care packaging
