SHIFT:
M-F, 8a-5p (some flexibility may be available) This position may be filled as a Professional Billing Specialist I or II depending on individual experience, education, certification(s), and business need. *Ideal candidate will have experience with follow-up and denials.** General Description Entry‑level professional billing role responsible for accurate claim submission and routine follow‑up using established workflows in an academic medical environment. Essential Job Duties Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities, with or without an accommodation, may result in disqualification from the position. Prepare and submit professional claims; correct routine claim errors and rejections. Work assigned billing and follow‑up queues in Epic. Apply foundational knowledge of CPT, ICD‑10‑CM, modifiers, and payer rules. Meet productivity, quality, and timeliness standards. General Job Duties Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements (Level 1): Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: At least 1 year of Medical Insurance experience.
Certification/License/Registration: None required.
Minimum Requirements: (Level 2): Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: At least 3 years of professional billing experience required.
Certification/License/Registration:
