About the role
- Analyze title insurance risks, underwriting issues, and regulatory concerns
- Provide underwriting solutions to agents, sales team, and title examiners in accordance with Westcor company guidelines as well as local, state and federal law.
- Handle residential as well as limited commercial transactions underwriting
- Present training seminars to educate title agents and production staff (both online and in person)
- Provide outstanding customer service while making sound underwriting decisions
- Handle a high volume of underwriting inquiries via email and telephone in a timely, responsive, and professional manner
- Analyze and respond to indemnity requests
- Travel with sales staff for agent visits throughout the state
- Work well in a remote team environment
- Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent understanding of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of real estate title and settlement process.
- Thorough knowledge of Tennessee real property law and related areas as applicable to real property transactions
- Knowledge of the Tennessee title insurance industry
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
