Summary: This fully remote, Michigan-based contract role supports accurate upkeep of insurance and financial-services records. The Data Entry Specialist translates policy, billing, and customer-submitted information into secure systems while identifying inconsistencies before records move downstream.
Job Responsibilities: • Enter policyholder, payment, invoice, and service-request details from approved source materials.• Compare screen entries with source forms, flagging missing fields, duplicates, and format exceptions.• Update policy and account records in designated databases using defined field requirements.• Route unclear submissions to policy services, billing, or operations contacts for clarification.• Maintain assigned work queues and safeguard sensitive customer information while working remotely.
Qualifications: • Experience entering structured information into spreadsheets or business systems is helpful.• Comfort interpreting policy numbers, account identifiers, dates, amounts, and required fields.• Ability to follow data dictionaries, naming conventions, and established review steps.• Familiarity with spreadsheet tools, database screens, and secure file-handling practices.• Reliable home workspace and ability to manage assigned queues independently.
