About the role
Connect Search is partnering with a large, established manufacturing company in the Milwaukee, WI area to identify a Multi-Site Controller to join its finance leadership team. This is a high-impact role responsible for providing financial leadership across multiple manufacturing facilities while serving as a strategic business partner to operations. The position combines traditional controllership with a significant focus on FP&A, budgeting and forecasting, operational analysis, and business partnership. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing finance leader looking for broader multi-site exposure and continued advancement. The role has strong visibility across the organization and potential to grow into a larger Operations Controller/Director titles position in as the company continues to grow. Title: Multi-Site Controller
Salary: $140-$180kBonus: 15%Hybrid
Travel: 1-2 times per year for 2-3 days
Key responsibilities include:
Lead financial oversight and accounting activities across multiple manufacturing facilities Manage and develop a small team of finance professionals Lead monthly close activities and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Own annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting for assigned operations Analyze financial and operational performance against expectations and identify key drivers Partner closely with plant and operations leadership to improve profitability and operational performance Monitor manufacturing KPIs including productivity, scrap, downtime, yield, and overall equipment effectiveness Prepare and present financial results, trends, and recommendations to senior leadership Develop financial models supporting capital investments, growth initiatives, cost savings, and other business decisions Analyze plant capacity, projected volumes, and resource requirements Partner cross-functionally on pricing, procurement savings, continuous improvement initiatives, and new business opportunities Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and SOX requirements Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, cost efficiency, and overall plant performance
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience preferred Strong manufacturing and plant finance experience required Multi-site manufacturing experience strongly preferred Strong background in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis 2–3+ years of leadership or management experience Strong understanding of financial statements, GAAP, internal controls, and manufacturing accounting Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and previous ERP system experience Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to translate financial information into actionable business recommendations Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and partner with operational leadersCPA preferred but not required This is an excellent opportunity for a manufacturing finance leader who wants to move beyond traditional accounting and take on a role with significant operational exposure, senior leadership visibility, multi-site responsibility, and long-term growth potential.
