About the role

Machinist Perform drill press operations including drilling, tapping, and chamfering. Deburr and straighten metal plates up to 24" x 24". Operate manual machining equipment such as Bridgeport mills, surface grinders, and tool grinders. Operate CNC lathes and milling machines. Utilize hand tools and machine shop equipment safely and effectively. Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for inspection and verification. Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators. Perform and document in-process quality inspections. Assemble molds and tooling components. Conduct mold maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities. Read and interpret CAD drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Maintain extremely tight tolerances and quality standards. Lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds as required. Stand and work for extended periods in a manufacturing environment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the tool room. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Associate degree from a Technical College or equivalent hands-on experience. Experience working in a machine shop or tooling environment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD files. Experience operating manual machining equipment. Knowledge of precision measurement and inspection techniques. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong time management and organizational skills. Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new skills. Experience with CNC machining operations. Familiarity with Mastercam software. Mold assembly, maintenance, and repair experience. Experience working with high-precision tooling and tight tolerances. Competitive compensation package.
