About the role

We're hiring for an Order Entry Specialist to join our office team in south Minneapolis. This role is responsible for processing customer orders, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service (minimal phone work). The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong data entry skills, and takes pride in accuracy and organization. Information Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm Location 100% in office (free parking in south Minneapolis)
Type: temp to hire on permanent after 1000 hours Pay range:$22-23/hr depending on experience level + full benefits package
Key Responsibilities: Create item numbers and production routings within the manufacturing software system. Accurately enter and process customer orders while following established work instructions and quality standards. Maintain customer order records, update purchase order logs, and distribute files to appropriate departments. Answer and direct incoming telephone calls while providing professional customer service. Process engineering and blueprint changes by updating production routings and verifying order accuracy. Complete purchase order confirmations and support internal order processing activities. Prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly reports related to tooling and production activities. Maintain accurate documentation, records, and data entry to support production scheduling and workflow efficiency. Assist office personnel with administrative, customer service, and operational support as needed. Perform additional duties and special projects to support office.
Qualifications Required: Previousoffice-based customer service, administrative, or data entry experience. Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with large amounts of information. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Dependable attendance and reliability. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
Preferred: Order processing or order entry experience. Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, production, or engineering environment. Experience working with ERP or manufacturing software systems. Familiarity with purchase orders, production routings, blueprints, or engineering change processes.
