Job Summary: The Cashier serves as the first and last point of contact for customers, providing friendly, courteous, and efficient service at the point of sale. Key responsibilities include greeting customers, accurately processing transactions, and expressing appreciation for their business. The role also entails answering incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate departments or individuals. As a highly visible position, the Cashier must maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times. Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate with customers, sales staff, office managers, and other team members are crucial. Good memorization and multitasking abilities are also important for success in this role. Qualifications Education: Basic education that includes the ability to competently read and write. Training and Experience: No training or experience is required, but cashier experience (typing and keypunch skills) is preferred. Job Knowledge: Must be able to count back change accurately. Cashiering skills and building industry knowledge are preferred.
Physical Demands: Work requires little physical effort and involves standing, walking, and some light lifting regularly. Works mostly in an air-conditioned environment.
