The Supply Chain Supervisor oversees the day-to-day Plant Supply Chain function, providing direct leadership for Shipping operations while providing functional leadership across the broader Supply Chain team. The role ensures safe, compliant, reliable, and efficient Supply Chain execution in support of plant operations and customer commitments, while driving performance, process improvement, employee development, and cross-functional collaboration. The Supervisor also provides support to the Supply Chain Manager, other Supply Chain roles, and additional sites as needed. Oversee daily shipping, receiving, rail, scheduling, and inventory activities to support production requirements and customer commitments. Monitors Supply Chain performance, including service, rail, inventory, transportation, and cost KPIs, and takes action to address gaps. Identifies and resolves Supply Chain issues and coordinates cross-functional corrective actions, including customer issues as appropriate. Monitors and controls Supply Chain costs, including transportation, rail, demurrage, overtime, and departmental expenses. Champions Supply Chain processes, procedures, compliance requirements, and documentation, including SOPs, Work Instructions, and training materials. Identifies and implements opportunities to improve Supply Chain efficiency, reliability, service, and overall performance. Develop employees through coaching, cross-training, performance management, and increased ownership and accountability. Maintains effective working relationships with Operations, Production, EHS, Maintenance, Quality, Planning, Commercial, Central Logistics, and other functional partners. Oversee applicable departmental budget items and coordinates required supplies, services, and resources to support Supply Chain operations. Provides backup and support for the Supply Chain Manager, other Supply Chain roles, and additional sites as needed, including contingency and succession planning. Generates and analyzes Supply Chain data and reports to support operational decisions, performance management, and continuous improvement. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Strong Supply Chain functional expertise, leadership, and people management skills.5–10 years of relevant Supply Chain, logistics, manufacturing, or related experience.
- Experience coordinating Supply Chain functions and preferred priorities.
- Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office, and other applicable business information systems preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively lead cross-functional problem resolution. Education, Certifications & Licenses
