About the role
Gpac is partnering with a community bank, in Fairfield County CT, that is looking for a new COO. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the position of Chief Operating Officer.

Responsibilities:
Provide strategic and operational leadership to all departments within the bank.
Develop and implement lending strategies to maximize profitability and minimize risk.
Manage day to day operations of the compliance and loan operations departments.
Collaborate with executive management to set company goals and objectives.
Monitor loan portfolio performance and make necessary adjustments to achieve financial targets.
Ability to be very hands-on. Expectation will be to roll up your sleeves and help the team when needed.
Essential Job Functions:
Hire, lead, mentor, and motivate a team of lending and credit professionals.
Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, and investors.
Stay up to date with industry trends and develop innovative lending solutions.
SkillsProven track record of leadership.
Strong understanding of compliance, lending principles and processes, risk assessment, credit analysis and accounting.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to make sound business decisions and manage a diverse team.
Requirements:
10+ years of management experience in a community bank setting.
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related field.
Strong operations skills / experience.
