We are looking for an experienced AV Rack Fabricator to help us with successful installations of a variety of audio/visual projects. Responsibilities of a AV Rack Fabricator Rack Fabrication: Assemble and wire AV racks according to detailed schematics, signal flow diagrams, and engineering specifications, integrating components like processors, amplifiers, control systems, and network switches for optimal system performance. Diagram Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret AV system diagrams, including wiring schematics, rack elevation drawings, and signal flow charts, to ensure precise implementation of design intent. Cable Termination and Testing: Terminate, test, and label cables (e.g., CAT6, fiber, HDMI, audio) using industry-standard tools (crimpers, soldering irons, cable testers) to maintain signal integrity and system reliability. Equipment Configuration: Configure and integrate rack-mounted AV technologies, including Crestron, AMX, Extron, and Q-SYS systems, ensuring compatibility and adherence to project specifications. System Verification: Perform point-to-point testing of rack systems, troubleshooting issues to confirm operational readiness before deployment, using test equipment and diagnostic tools per industry standards. Documentation: Maintain accurate digital records of rack builds, including as-built drawings, equipment inventories, and test reports, using platforms like Microsoft Teams for project collaboration. Technical Paperwork: Review and complete technical documentation, such as bill of materials (BOM), equipment schedules, and change orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Collaboration: Work closely with AV engineers and project managers to align rack builds with client specifications, providing feedback on diagram discrepancies or design improvements. Inventory Management: Track and manage rack-related equipment inventory, ensuring components are organized and secure during fabrication.
