POSITION OVERVIEW:
Supervises the day-to-day transfer station operations and monitors compliance to safety and other regulations. This role manages both Winston-Salem and Stoneville locations with a total of 70 assets and 13 employees. As a Senior Fleet Manager your roles and responsibilities will include: Supervises the development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of processes, procedures and programs to improve safety, productivity, and profitability of the transfer station. Supervises transfer station staff and coordinates workflow and assignments. Conducts recurring safety/compliance meetings. Reconciles facility revenue from operations, facility billing, and monthly P-card statements. Processes employee payroll. Orders supplies as needed. Creates and submits weekly and month end reports to senior management. Oversees personnel needs of the department including coaching, training, and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions. Direct supervision of 13 full-time employees including: site supervisors, drivers, mechanics, operators, sorters, attendants, laborersQUALIFICATIONS Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Senior Fleet Manager who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Senior Fleet Manager would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
Education: High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
Experience: 4 years of relevant work experience
Driving experience, knowledge of DOT regulations, equipment operating and supervisory experience may be required. We understand that even if you are a seasoned Senior Fleet Manager you may not have all the skills listed here.
