About the role
Alpha and Omega Staffing Services, Inc., is facilitating thesearch for an experienced Safety Director to join a confidential client's team in a permanent direct hire position. The selected candidate will be employed directly by the client and will provide senior operational safety leadership for electrical utility construction and maintenance work based in the Denver area and performed throughout Colorado. Alpha and Omega is serving solely as the recruiting facilitator and will not be the employer. Compensation, benefits, relocation support, final employment terms, and any written offer will be determined and issued exclusively by the confidential hiring client. Proven senior safety leadership experience as a Safety Director, Regional Safety Director, Corporate Safety Manager, Senior Safety Manager, or comparable operational leader. Subject matter expertise and substantial field experience in overhead and underground electrical distribution construction, maintenance, testing, operations, restoration, and energized work. Technical understanding and field credibility sufficient to communicate effectively with journeymen lineworkers, foremen, general foremen, superintendents, utility customers, and executive leadership. Demonstrated success leading and developing teams of safety professionals while supporting multiple simultaneousconstruction and maintenance projects. Strong knowledge of high energy exposure, critical controls, grounding, energized work boundaries, switching, mobileequipment, lifting, excavation, storm response, and changing field conditions. Working knowledge of OSHA 1910.269, OSHA 1926 Subpart V, applicable construction standards, utility ownerrequirements, manufacturer instructions, and relevant industry guidance. Experience overseeing audits, risk assessments, serious incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, performance reporting, and organizational improvement. Strong communication, technical writing, public speaking, judgment, attention to detail, relationship management, andoperational decision-making skills. Ability to maintain regular in-person leadership in the Denver area and travel to active operations throughout Colorado. Valid driver license and acceptable driving record. Ability to satisfy the confidential client's employment, screening, and project access requirements.
