About the role
Join our dynamic team at Mount Sinai West as a Board Certified/Eligible Pediatric Hospitalist. You will provide comprehensive care, including delivery attendance and well-baby nursery management, within a bustling active delivery service delivering over 5,000 babies annually. This role offers excellent opportunities for ongoing education through simulation and participation in quality improvement research projects. Practice Info Active delivery service with over 5,000 babies born at Mount Sinai West each year Average daily census in the nursery is 20-30 Full-service medical center with a 24/7 emergency department serving Midtown and the West Side of Manhattan, New York City
Responsibilities:
Attendance at deliveries Well-baby nursery care (including circumcisions and identifying newborns who need a higher level of care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)Providing well-baby education to families on a shift-based schedule Compensation Compensation range from $160,000 to $210,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)Shift & Schedule Full-time employment
Requirements:
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited program Successful completion of a 3-year Pediatric ACGME approved residency program New York State Medical License Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatrics Meet eligibility requirements for an appointment to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Open to visa sponsorship
