Location: Rayville, LA
Base Salary: $130-170k + bonus potential
Schedule: 100% onsite. Project schedules may occasionally require 6-day workweeks and/or 10-hour days Relocation/Travel Support: Relocation assistance is available. For traveling candidates, a living allowance of approximately $3,000/month is provided to cover housing expenses. Travel expenses to and from the project, including flights or mileage/gas, would either be reimbursed or booked and paid for by the company.
Position Overview: Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring multiple Data Center General Superintendents for one of the nation’s leading energy and infrastructure companies. These positions will lead field construction for a major Meta data center in Rayville, Louisiana. The General Superintendent is responsible for overall field installation and project execution, with direct oversight of field labor, subcontractor coordination, quality control, safety, scheduling, manpower, and job costs. This individual serves as a key onsite leader responsible for ensuring installations meet project drawings, specifications, and contracted scope while keeping construction on schedule and within budget. Project This is a $10 billion Meta data center development expected to continue through 2029. The campus will span more than 4 million square feet and represents Meta’s largest AI infrastructure investment to date.
Key Responsibilities: Lead overall field installation and day-to-day onsite construction activities Manage field labor, subcontractors, manpower planning, and trade coordination Oversee mechanical, plumbing, piping, and HVAC installation Interpret plumbing, piping, mechanical, and HVAC drawings for craft installation Ensure field installation meets project drawings, specifications, quality standards, and contracted scope Partner with Safety teams to maintain compliance with company safety policies and OSHA requirements Conduct weekly safety meetings and oversee jobsite safety requirements Review project submittals for accuracy and compliance Plan, schedule, and coordinate onsite construction activities Prepare material takeoffs and coordinate tools, materials, and equipment to support field productivity Schedule equipment deliveries with the General Contractor and coordinate required inspections Monitor labor reporting, job costs, timesheets, and field productivity Prepare and manage two-week look-ahead schedules Identify potential change orders and communicate cost impacts to project management Coordinate with project management, administrative teams, subcontractors, and customers throughout construction Drive project completion on schedule and within budget Qualifications 10+ years of Superintendent experience within commercial construction Experience leading large commercial construction projects valued at $10M+Mechanical, plumbing, piping, and/or HVAC construction experience required Data center construction experience highly preferred Managing field labor, subcontractors, manpower, scheduling, and overall project execution Interpreting mechanical, plumbing, piping, and HVAC construction drawings Knowledge of OSHA requirements and construction site safety Experience with labor reporting, job cost reviews, material takeoffs, and look-ahead scheduling Coordinating equipment deliveries, inspections, and construction activities with General Contractors Proficiency with Procore, Excel, Word, and construction project documentation Join a major Meta data center construction program and lead field operations on one of the largest data center developments currently underway in the United States.
