About the role
The Associate Technician, Quality Control, plays a vital role in supporting laboratory operations by assisting with routine and non-routine testing processes. This position involves preparing reagents and solutions, performing analytical and microbial testing, and maintaining laboratory equipment and cleanliness to ensure consistent quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare reagents and solutions for various analyses, including diluents and culture media. Conduct pH analysis on reagents and solutions required for routine testing. Perform sampling and processing of production lines for cleaning surveillance. Support laboratory maintenance activities such as equipment preventative maintenance, waste disposal, and cleaning. Clean, organize, and restock laboratory glassware and supplies. Manage inventory by ordering and recording supplies and reagents. Maintain accurate records through filing and copying of documents. Assist with various laboratory operational activities as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to support routine laboratory functions, including cleaning, prepping reagents, and basic instrument maintenance. Experience in preparing chemical solutions and performing pH analysis. Strong organizational skills for inventory management and record keeping. Attention to detail in laboratory cleaning and sampling procedures. Basic understanding of laboratory safety and cleanliness standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working in a laboratory environment supporting quality control or testing functions. Familiarity with microbial testing procedures. Knowledge of laboratory maintenance procedures and safety protocols. Ability to follow detailed instructions and document procedures accurately.
