About the role
Now hiring: Engineer, Manufacturing Tooling II & IIIMerritt Island, Florida | Onsite | 15 openings We are seeking Manufacturing Tooling Engineers to support our client's aerospace client and help design the tools that enable safe human spaceflight. In this role, you will design and release tooling from concept through commissioning, including assembly fixtures, material-handling equipment, rotisseries, test fixtures, structural weldments, and custom machinery.
Ideal background:
- Tooling design, fabrication, procurement, installation, and proof testing
- Creo Parametric, Windchill, CAD modeling/drawings, GD&T, and ASME Y14.5
- Mechanical design and manufacturing experience
- Hand calculations, free-body diagrams, load cases, and FEA/structural analysis
- CNC machining, welding, sheet metal, lifting/rigging, assembly, and inspection
- DFM/DFA and collaboration with manufacturing and integration teams Candidates should have 3+ years of direct manufacturing experience and must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder. If you have personally designed and released manufacturing tooling, please apply!
