Your Role: The OPEX Director will develop the OPEX strategy for the site. The role involves benchmarking operational excellence concepts to increase efficiency, leading and influencing without authority across manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, HR, finance, and other departments to challenge the status quo and drive performance. The Director will lead continuous improvement efforts, implement and apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing strategies, and develop optimization tools. They will identify opportunities and implement improvements using industry best practices and operational excellence concepts. Your Profile: Proficient in leading Kaizen events, GEMBA walks, 5S audits, and SMED. Proficient in Root Cause Analysis Methodologies across the site and in production systems. Proficient in procurement, finance, and SAP analysis of COGs and financial variances to identify opportunities and achieve validated improvements. Proficient in Value Stream Mapping, process mapping, Six Sigma, DMAIC, and other improvement methodologies. Proven experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies and their application. Advanced problem‑solving strategies. Proficiency in MRP software, Minitab or similar. Familiarity with CMMS. Experience with FIFO and supply‑chain concepts for inventory improvements. Experience in Kanban, JIT and other Lean concepts. Proficiency in energy‑consumption analysis and improvements. Proficiency in waste reduction. Experience calculating OEE and applying it for technical availability, quality improvements and debottlenecking. Drive development and implementation of KPIs to measure and monitor operational effectiveness. Conduct thorough analyses of processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, using statistical principles. Lead and participate in cross‑functional teams to gather and analyse data, create metrics, and implement improvements to increase performance. Identify and implement cost‑reduction projects. Design and implement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and improving productivity. Regularly report on local and global performance metrics, providing insights to leadership. Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to eliminate waste, streamline processes, and enhance effectiveness. Adhere to personal moral, ethical, legal, and behavioral conduct in line with Siegfried Code of Conduct. Implement and adhere to all applicable SHE, DEA, and cGMP regulations. Experience with sustainability practices, including EcoVadis qualification and validation. SUPERVISION: The incumbent must give technical instructions to chemical operators. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field with 10+ years of relevant experience. MBA preferred. Excellent role‑modeling and leadership capabilities. Ability to organise data, construct visual data‑analysis, infer and interpret data to propose actions for continuous improvement. Green or Black Belt Certification preferred.
