About the role
Type III DriverBasic Responsibilities:
To safely and efficiently transport students to and from their school site and/or special events. Successful candidates must be able to work split shift; have skills and aptitude to operate a vehicle safely; enjoy the presence of children; be reliable and punctual; pass a criminal background check.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED Valid MN Class D driver's license (or higher) Experience Preferred: One year experience in public or pupil transportation.
Starting Wage:
$19.00 per hour. Type III Drivers will have the ability to receive training to obtain their Commercial Drivers License and bus endorsement. This would allow them to move into a bus driving position if desired.

To follow-up with parents regarding discipline issues. 3. To keep assigned vehicle clean. 4. To keep assigned route schedule. 5. To inspect vehicle daily before each operation for mechanical defects. 6. To notify the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness. 7. To obey all traffic laws. 8. To observe all mandatory safety regulations for type III vehicles. 9. To discharge students only at authorized stops. 10.To exercise responsible leadership. 11.To transport only authorized students and personnel. 12.To report all accidents and complete required reports. 13.To enforce regulations set forth by the district and by the State of Minnesota. 14.To perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Transportation.
