Data Engineer - Vice President

Overview In this role you will design and build scalable data infrastructure to make data central to iCapital. You will work with cross‑functional teams to translate complex business problems into robust data solutions, enabling data‑driven decisions. You will craft reusable data ingestion, cleansing, and quality components and evolve our Data Lake and Data Warehouse. This is a hands‑on role at the intersection of engineering, data science, and product, offering impactful work in a fast‑paced Fin Tech environment. Compensation / Benefitsbase salary 160k–200kequity for all full‑time employeesannual performance bonusretirement planhealthcare including dental and visiontelemedicine and mental health support$?（note: kept as list item） Responsibilities Build features using open‑source tech and cloud solutions Develop and automate large‑scale, high‑performance data platform infrastructure Design reusable ingestion, cleansing, and data quality components Streamline ingestion from multiple sources into Data Lake and Data Warehouse Design data models for storage and retrieval aligned with product needs Collaborate with sales and product teams to advance Fin Tech strategy and profitability Key requirements 8+ years of experience with open‑source technologies or OO/functional programming with scalable code Experience in at least one numeric research framework (Python/pandas, R/S+, Octave/Matlab)Familiar with OLAP (Redshift, Snowflake) and OLTP (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) databases Knowledge of Relational, Columnar, and NoSQL database designs Background in probability/statistics Detail‑oriented and able to multitask in a fast pace Able to work independently and as a team player Excellent written and verbal communication Passion for programming and cutting‑edge tech Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science or related field is preferred Professional experience with Python and JVM languages (Scala, Java, Kotlin) preferred Experience building data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses preferred Good knowledge of financial markets and instruments preferred Experience with AWS solutions (Lambda, S3, Kinesis, Elasti Cache) preferred Familiar with IaC (Terraform or Cloud Formation) preferred Familiar with PII data restrictions for analysis and testing preferred Full-time or internship experience in Fin Tech data engineering is a plus Detail‑oriented Strong communication Independent and collaborative Python Scala/Java/Kotlin (JVM languages)SQL and data modeling
