Regional Director of Group Fitness and Programming
Location: Westchester County, New York Position: Full-time | Regular on-site presence and travel among clubs required
Description: A growing fitness organization is seeking a Regional Director of Group Fitness and Programming to create and lead a distinctive group fitness experience across multiple clubs and support new location openings. This is an opportunity to shape original strength, conditioning, and hybrid programs, develop talented instructors, and build consistent standards across a growing club network. Success means stronger class participation, engaging member experiences, and purposeful programming that helps members progress and return consistently.
Responsibilities: Design and implement signature programming with structured training cycles, clear coaching standards, and modifications for different fitness levels. Evaluate existing classes, schedules, and member feedback to improve participation and program quality. Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate instructors across locations. Manage regional class schedules, instructor coverage, payroll budgets, and studio resources. Track attendance, member satisfaction, instructor performance, and program costs to guide improvements. Partner with club leadership, membership, marketing, and personal training teams to strengthen member engagement. Lead programming, instructor preparation, and launch readiness for new club openings. Maintain safe instruction practices and current instructor certification standards.
Qualifications: Demonstrated success developing and implementing group fitness or group training programs across multiple locations. Typically five or more years of fitness programming experience, including at least two years of multi-site leadership or programming implementation; equivalent demonstrated experience will be considered. Strong knowledge of strength and conditioning, progressive programming, and inclusive group coaching. Proven ability to develop instructors and manage schedules, budgets, and performance data. Recognized fitness certification and current CPR/AED certification required; applicable format-specific credentials. Related degree preferred.
