Role Description: The Strategic Account Manager – Data Center Transportation is a full-time remote role responsible for managing key client relationships and overseeing transportation solutions for data center projects. Day-to-day, this role works with client stakeholders to understand requirements, develop tailored transportation plans, and coordinate shipments with internal operations and carrier partners. The Strategic Account Manager monitors performance, addresses service issues, and proactively recommends improvements to optimize cost, service level, and risk management. The role includes preparing account reviews, analyzing shipment data, and identifying opportunities for growth and expanded services. This position collaborates closely with sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate pricing, contract compliance, and consistent delivery of high-quality service.
Qualifications: Experience managing strategic or key accounts in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or a related field, preferably with data center or technology-sector clients. Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate complex shipments, including scheduling, routing, carrier management, and issue resolution. Strong skills in client communication, relationship building, and stakeholder management, with the ability to present updates and recommendations clearly. Competence in data analysis and reporting using tools such as Excel or business intelligence platforms to interpret performance metrics and trends. Knowledge of freight transportation practices, service-level agreements, and risk or compliance considerations relevant to critical infrastructure logistics. Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, prioritize multiple accounts, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally with operations, sales, and finance to support account planning and execution. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. Experience with CRM or account management tools and standard office productivity software. Willingness to occasionally travel for client meetings, site visits, or team events as business needs require.
