This contract position with permanent potential is ideal for someone who can manage day-to-day accounting activities while helping maintain accurate reporting, compliance, and cash flow visibility. The role partners closely with internal stakeholders to oversee billing, payroll-related accounting, tax reporting, and month-end close activities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: Oversee the full customer invoicing process, including account setup, invoice preparation, distribution, and follow-up on outstanding balances. Monitor open projects and receivables, apply incoming payments accurately, and coordinate deposits to maintain current account records. Lead recurring close activities by preparing accruals, reviewing revenue timing, recording payroll-related entries, and validating general ledger accuracy. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions while helping improve billing practices and overall accounting efficiency. Complete required tax and compliance filings, including sales tax, payroll tax, and other business-related reporting at the federal and state levels. Review payroll output and assist with administration related to employee benefit programs, ensuring processes remain accurate even when managed through external providers. Participate in financial review meetings, present key performance indicators such as cash outlook and outstanding receivables, and help resolve billing concerns with internal teams. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Strong knowledge of general ledger activity, journal entries, accrual-based accounting, and financial statement review. Experience managing billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and high-volume invoicing workflows. Background in corporate tax support, sales tax reporting, payroll tax filings, and regulatory compliance. Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
