Requirements and important qualities:
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a laboratory setting (preferred); fertility and electronic medical records (EMR) experience is a plus.
Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in computer applications including EMR/EHR systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and email systems. Target start date: 11/09/2026
Contract length: Contract (Approx. 6 months / 1,040 hours)
Responsibilities: Clinical Lab Support & Aseptic Preparation: Prepare culture dishes and materials using aseptic techniques for egg retrievals, insemination, cryopreservation, warming, embryo culture, and embryo transfers. Documentation & Specimen Management: Collect patient data, prepare charts/worksheets, and log data into electronic health records. Maintain specimen chain of custody and utilize electronic witnessing systems to track procedures and specimens accurately. Genetic Testing & Cryopreservation: Support pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT) by handling requisitions, packing/shipping kits, and documenting results. Assist the cryopreservation coordinator with operational duties and records. Inventory & Quality Control: Track, restock, and inventory culture media/consumables; alert senior staff of low stock. Perform regular quality control checks on equipment (e.g., daily/weekly/monthly/annual incubator pH testing).Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a clean, compliant lab space following departmental, OSHA, EH&S, and HIPAA guidelines. Properly wear required PPE and promptly report incidents or safety concerns to management. Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in team learning, contribute ideas for workflow efficiency, and support administrative readiness for laboratory inspections.
