Environmental Services Technician Full Time (U) The University of Miami Hospital (UTower) has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Services Technician Full Time (U) in the Environmental Services Department. The Environmental Services Technician Full Time (U) performs cleaning functions to maintain a sanitary, safe, and orderly condition throughout the facility. Core Job Functions: Follows established cleaning methods and procedures in performing cleaning duties. Uses only cleaning supplies and chemicals that have been approved by management. Adheres to guidelines for fire and general safety, waste disposal, dress code, and patient information. Reports areas in need of special cleaning or repairs to appropriate supervisor. Assists in the maintenance of equipment and organization of supplies. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. Core Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent In lieu of education: One-year experience as a housekeeper in the hotel/motel commercial/industrial sanitation or health care related field. Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes: Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment. Ability to understand and follow instructions. Commitment to the University's core values. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
