Role Description: The Payroll Clerk is a full-time, on-site role based in Charlotte, NC. This position is responsible for processing payroll accurately and on schedule for employees, including collecting and verifying timesheets, inputting data into payroll systems, and resolving discrepancies. The Payroll Clerk will calculate wages, deductions, and payroll taxes, maintain payroll records, and assist with reporting and compliance requirements. Day-to-day tasks include responding to employee inquiries about pay, coordinating with HR and Accounting, and supporting audits or reconciliations related to payroll. The role requires careful attention to detail, adherence to confidentiality standards, and consistent application of company policies and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications: Strong skills in Payroll Services and Payroll Administration to manage day-to-day payroll processing and employee data. Experience in Payroll Management, including coordinating payroll cycles and supporting process improvements. Knowledge of Payroll Taxes and related compliance requirements to ensure accurate calculations and filings. Foundational Accounting skills to support reconciliations, reporting, and collaboration with finance teams. Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. Effective communication and customer service skills to work with employees and cross-functional teams. Prior experience in a payroll or finance support role; associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
