Travel & Expense Analyst - Initial 6-month contract - Fast growing Technology.
Location:
Houston
Working model: Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office
Salary:
$28 - $33ph depending on experience
Altum Consulting are partnering with a fast-growing international technology business to recruit a Travel & Expense Analyst.
This is a hands-on role focused on the day-to-day management and processing of Travel & Expense activities across the business. You will work closely with the Senior T&E Lead and wider Finance team to ensure employee expenses and travel-related transactions are processed accurately, efficiently and in line with company policy.
This would suit someone with experience in Travel & Expense, Accounts Payable or Finance Operations who is looking to take the next step and gain greater ownership of the T&E process.
Role:
Process and review employee expense claims
Review corporate card transactions and supporting documentation
Ensure expenses are coded and approved correctly
Check expense claims against company policy
Investigate and resolve discrepancies and employee queries
Ensure expenses are processed accurately and on a timely basis
Assist with employee and supplier queries relating to travel and expenses
Perform basic reconciliations of expense and corporate card accounts
Support month-end activities relating to T&E
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Follow established T&E processes and controls
Identify and flag any issues or unusual transactions
Support the Senior T&E Lead with process improvements and projects
Assist with maintaining T&E policies and procedures
Work closely with Accounts Payable and the wider Finance team
You'll be/have:
Immediately available/short notice period with full working rights
1-3 years' experience in Travel & Expense, Accounts Payable, Finance Operations or a similar role
Good understanding of employee expenses and expense processes
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Previous experience in an international business would be advantageous
