About the role

- Assists in hiring, motivating, training, coaching, mentors, and directing staff to ensure that Team Members receive leadership, guidance, and resources to accomplish established objectives.
- Responsible for creating and fostering an environment of support and motivation for Team Members.
- Assists with the establishment of department standards, guidelines and objectives, and maintains other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of assigned areas.
- Responsible for the loss prevention functions of the complex, including company assets on the casino floor, customer and employee security and safety on their shift.
- Assists with the training, selecting, and developing of staff, scheduling and directing.
- Ensures all applicable laws, rules and regulations of the company are firmly and fairly enforced.
- Responsible for all investigations or supervision of all investigations performed by subordinates assigned to the Security Department.
- Implements systems to ensure compliance with federal, state and company rules and regulations.
- Identifies and controls risks and threats to the safety and assets of the company patrons and employees.
- Responsible for the detention of persons for probable cause for the purpose of notifying law enforcement and/or state gaming officials.
- Controls and maintains company-wide key controls throughout the property while on duty.
- Directs Security personnel to specific assigned duties and/or special assignments as needed.
- Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position's supervisor.
- Manages subordinates who may supervise employees. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit(s).Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.
- Reviews the work activities of subordinate employees to ensure that work is being performed within the standards established by management.
