Senior Marketing CoordinatorAt SSOE, we partner with Fortune 100 and industry-leading clients to design and engineer complex projects that shape how people work, live, and build for the future. In this position, you will lead high-profile pursuits from strategy through delivery—guiding cross-functional teams, shaping win strategies, and ensuring compelling, client-focused messaging. You'll work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, business development leaders, and senior leadership to align pursuit strategies with client needs and SSOE's differentiators. The ideal candidate should be graphically inclined to create aesthetically pleasing layouts in line with brand standards but also have a strong understanding of marketing concepts, including positioning, target markets, and role goes beyond coordination, serving as both a partner and project manager to bring together diverse inputs, drive clarity, and elevate the quality and effectiveness of proposals, presentations, and marketing materials across SSOE's Architectural markets. In addition to supporting pursuits, this position will collaborate closely with SSOE's Marketing Communications team, contributing to content development, website updates, brochures, and other brand and thought leadership initiatives that strengthen our presence in the marketplace. From day one, you'll receive the training and support needed to leverage AI as a core tool for enhancing productivity, sparking creativity, and streamlining complex workflows.ResponsibilitiesA typical day might include:Leading the development of complex, high-value proposals, presentations, and qualifications (PPQs) from opportunity identification through final submission.Facilitating opportunity review and kickoff meetings, defining pursuit strategies, win themes, and with operations and business development leadership to position SSOE competitively and align messaging with client priorities.Driving proposal schedules, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring accountability across multidisciplinary teams.Providing guidance and mentorship to marketing coordinators and support staff as needed.Project management & execution:Managing multiple concurrent pursuits across regions, ensuring on-time, high-quality deliverables.Synthesizing complex technical information into clear, compelling, and client-focused content.Leading the development of strategic messaging and proposal narratives that differentiate SSOE.Overseeing the coordination, review, and production of final deliverables to ensure consistency and brand alignment.Coaching and supporting presentation teams for client interviews and selection processes.Collaboration & content development:Interviewing technical staff and leadership to develop impactful project descriptions and case studies.Maintaining and enhancing resumes and qualifications for technical personnel.Collaborating with corporate marketing to ensure alignment with brand standards and messaging.Supporting broader business development and marketing initiatives, including conferences and client engagement efforts.Utilizing marketing systems and tools (e.g., Deltek) to track opportunities and maintain data accuracy.QualificationsWhat you'll bring on day one:Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into compelling content.Demonstrated ability to lead pursuit teams and develop strategic messaging and positioning.Advanced organizational and project management skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe InDesign.Qualifications:6–10 years of experience in marketing, proposals, or business development—preferably in the AEC industry.Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.Experience leading large, complex pursuits or proposals.Bonus points if you have:Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar CRM systems.Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members.Prior experience working directly within Architecture teamsWhere big projects meet personal growth:SSOE brings together the opportunities typically found at a large firm with the access, support, and close-knit culture of a smaller one.
