About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead the overall operations of a manufacturing facility with responsibility for the plant’s safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and overall financial performance. The Plant Manager will provide strategic and hands-on leadership across production, quality, maintenance, engineering, and other support functions. This individual will lead a multi-shift organization, develop a strong leadership team, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the facility consistently meets or exceeds operational and financial objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven manufacturing leader who enjoys building teams, improving processes, and taking ownership of overall plant performance.
Key Responsibilities: Lead overall plant performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and financial results (SQDCP).Lead, develop, and mentor a multi-shift team while managing staffing, training, and succession planning. Establish operational priorities aligned with company objectives and drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO, and other applicable safety and quality requirements. Establish and monitor KPIs, analyze operational data, and drive corrective actions and performance improvements. Oversee production planning, inventory, and coordination with procurement, logistics, and demand planning. Manage the plant operating budget, capital expenditures, and overall financial performance. Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost. Lead capital projects, including equipment installations, facility improvements, and process upgrades. Build strong relationships with corporate leadership, customers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders while serving as the senior operations leader on site.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.7+ years of progressive manufacturing experience, including 3+ years in a plant or operations leadership role. Proven experience leading multi-department, multi-shift manufacturing operations with responsibility for financial performance and/or P&L.Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Experience using KPIs, ERP/MRP systems, and operational data to drive business and performance improvements. Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO, and other applicable manufacturing requirements. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and develop high-performing teams. This position is based in a manufacturing facility and requires regular interaction with both the production floor and office environments.
