About the role
Position: Saw Operator
Company: Direct Start
Direct Start is partnering with a reputable manufacturing company in search of an experienced Saw Operator. The ideal candidate will have previous experience operating a Marvel saw and will be able to work on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday from 6am-4pm with the potential for overtime on Fridays.
Responsibilities: Operate a Marvel saw to cut various materials according to specifications
Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to determine cutting requirements
Adjust saws to ensure accurate and precise cuts
Inspect materials for defects and make necessary adjustments to the saw
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Meet production quotas and deadlines
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years experience operating a Marvel saw
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams
Strong attention to detail and ability to make precise cuts
Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Good communication skills
Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
