Based at Schriever Space Force Base, CO, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels.This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.Position Overview:The CWO reports to the C2BMC Command Center (CCC) Operations Lead and provides day?to?day oversight, guidance, and leadership for 125+ personnel, including 24x7 CCC crews and globally dispersed assets. You will own the operational picture of the global C2BMC enterprise, ensuring system health, readiness, and secure command?and?control for missile defense operations and information sharing.This position requires 24x7 shift work. The selected candidate will be assigned to a rotating 12?hour shift based on mission requirements, with substitute rotation coverage (including nights and weekends) as needed.Essential Functions:Provide operations floor leadership for 24x7 CCC operations, maintaining floor integrity and a disciplined, mission?focused environmentOversee and manage all C2BMC operations, including monitoring and reporting on the health and status of the global C2BMC enterpriseDirect Operations & Maintenance (O&M), network monitoring, and network defense activities for C2BMC mission systems to ensure availability, quality, and security of servicesMake day?to?day operational decisions on the CCC floor to support C2BMC mission systems, command and control (C2), and information sharingEnsure the accuracy, timeliness, and clarity of reports, keep leadership informed, and recommend courses of action for emerging issues or mission needsMaintain a current, comprehensive picture of the status of all systems at all timesEnsure crew members are appropriately trained, certified, and mission?ready, and that shifts are properly manned; conduct thorough changeover briefsProvide emerging oversight support to the Global C2BMC Operations floor, advising on actions being taken and requirements needed to support global mission executionDirect crews to troubleshoot network issues and support cyber?defensive operations as neededWork closely with the Global Shift Lead, CCC Lead, and government leadership to coordinate operations and communicate impacts, risks, and needsPerform other related duties and assignments as required in support of C2BMC mission successBasic Qualifications:A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or 12 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degreeApplicants must have a current, active in-scope Government-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start, with the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearanceExcellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to brief senior military and government leaders on complex operational and technical issuesExperience in Project Management, Planning, and Resource Management, including managing crews or teams in a high?tempo operational environmentDemonstrated experience leading personnel in operations and/or maintenance of large?scale computer and communications systems/networkingExperience or knowledge of enterprise network, systems, and cyber defense capabilities and managementEffective communication skills to brief technical system and network issues, as well as overall system status and reports, using tools such as Microsoft Visio and PowerPointPersonal knowledge and practical experience to direct the assessment and development of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures ( TTPs ) and Operating Instructions ( OIs ) to effectively administer, operate, and manage services under C2BMC operational controlProficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelA rotating 24×7 shift schedule (12?hour shifts) is required.
