About the role

Our client is an established private markets platform that has scaled significantly in recent years while maintaining a collaborative, tight-knit culture. As the business continues to expand, they are looking to hire an experienced VP of Accounts Payable to lead and further develop their global AP function. This is a hands-on leadership role managing a small team and overseeing a high-volume, complex AP environment. You'll remain close to the day-to-day process while taking ownership of invoice processing, detailed expense allocations, vendor management, payments, employee expenses, and month-end activities across multiple entities. A major focus will also be on process improvement and automation. The firm has invested in technology but continues to grow quickly, creating an opportunity for this person to improve workflows, strengthen controls, and help build a more scalable AP function. What They're Looking For 8 years of Accounts Payable within the financial services industry. Experience managing high-volume AP with complex expense allocations across multiple entities or business areas Strong understanding of vendor management, expense reporting, corporate cards, internal controls, and month-end close Strong people management skills and ability to partner across Finance and the broader business This is an opportunity to take meaningful ownership of AP within a rapidly growing firm, leading a strong team while helping modernize and scale the function alongside the broader business.
