About the role

Respond to emergency calls, transport patients to medical facilities, provide necessary care during transport, complete patient paperwork, and assist with equipment and patient movement.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED/TASC required Current NYS EMT certification Current BCLS certification Valid New York State driver's license (current and without violations) Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 125 lbs. (250 lbs. with assistance) and navigate various terrains. Proficiency in operating electrocardiogram monitoring equipment and basic computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel). Strong customer service skills Schedule All positions are in hospitals and nursing homes. These facilities are open 24 hours/7 days each week. General shift availability: Days (7a-3p or 8a-4p) Evenings (3p-11p or 4p-12a) Nights (11p-7a or 12a-8a) Every other weekend is usually required for all positions. COVID-19 vaccination is required. Most positions include a comprehensive Union benefits package and competitive salaries.
