About the Opportunity
Senior Manufacturing Engineer Location: Chandler, AZFull-Time | Onsite Our clientis a leading manufacturer of mission-critical RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave components and subsystems supporting aerospace, defense, and space applications. They are looking for a hands-on Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their Chandler team and help drive manufacturing excellence across highlycomplex products in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. This is an opportunity to work on technically advancedproducts while partnering closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, vendors, and customers.
What You'll Do: Lead initiatives focusedon manufacturing process optimization, cost reduction, and product improvement. Analyze and improve manufacturing methods, process flows, tooling, and facility layout. Troubleshoot manufacturing, yield, quality, and assemblyissues and lead root cause/corrective action efforts. Participate in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews and provide feedbackto improve manufacturability and production efficiency. Improve manufacturing processesfor complex RF/microwave electronic assemblies and components, including integrated assemblies, frequency control devices, converters, filters, and synthesizers. Develop and maintain manufacturing instructions, routings, and procedures. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and Material Review Board (MRB) activities. Perform cost analysis, ROI calculations, and make/buy evaluations for manufacturing investments. Work with internal teams, vendors, and customers to resolve technical manufacturing challenges. Mentor junior engineers and serve as a technical resource for manufacturing and engineering teams. Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degreein Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, ideallywithin high-reliability electronics or RF/microwave manufacturing. Experience with manufacturing methods for electronics, including soldering, mechanical assembly, bonding, and environmental testing. Ability to interpret technical drawings, customer specifications, and manufacturing requirements. Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement. Experience with tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, PFMEA, or similar methodologies. Experience developing manufacturing instructions, tracking KPIs, and improving manufacturing processes. Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.
Preferred Experience: Aerospace, defense, space, or other regulated manufacturing experience. RF/microwave systems or component manufacturing experience. Experience with AS9100, MIL-STD, or similar quality/regulatory requirements. ERP/MRP systems, CAD tools, and process mapping platforms. Experience with Lean/continuous improvement systems such as CBS or similar frameworks. Why Consider This Opportunity?
