Role Description: The Construction Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in San Diego, CA, responsible for supporting the efficient planning and execution of construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with project scheduling, tracking milestones, and coordinating communication between project managers, subcontractors, clients, and design teams. The role involves organizing and maintaining project documentation, updating logs and reports, and helping monitor budget and change orders to keep projects aligned with financial and timeline goals. The Construction Coordinator will support site meetings, follow up on action items, and help ensure safety and compliance standards are met. This position contributes to a smooth construction process by providing reliable administrative, logistical, and coordination support across all project phases.
Qualifications: Ability to coordinate construction activities, including scheduling, document control, and project tracking. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams. Proficiency with office and project management software (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheets, scheduling tools; experience with construction software is a plus).Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Knowledge of basic construction processes, terminology, and documentation; prior experience in a construction or related field preferred. Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and project documents is beneficial. Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with applicable regulations and company standards. High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is a plus. Ability to work on-site in San Diego, CA and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
