About the role
- You're the operator behind the marketing team. You don't own strategy. You own execution: making sure every team and agency is hitting their deadlines, their numbers, and their standards.
- When BFCM is six weeks out, you're the one asking: Does creative have the ads ready? Has the email team planned the campaign calendar? Are the landing pages built and QA'd? Is the media buyer ready to launch? You find the gaps before they become problems, and you push until they're closed.
- What You'll OwnSystems & SOPs: Build and maintain the marketing team's systems, workflows, and SOPs, mostly in ClickUpKPI tracking: Track performance and output for internal team members (creative strategists, editors, designers) and external partners (Google, email, and creative agencies)
- Project execution: Coordinate launches and campaigns across teams, set deadlines, follow up, and make sure work ships before it's due
- Onboarding: Own the onboarding process for new marketing hires and agencies, including SOPs, access, and a smooth first week
- Continuous improvement: Find what's slow, broken, or repetitive and fix it with better processes, automation, and AI tools
- What You Need 2+ years in marketing ops or project management at a DTC eCommerce brand or agency (required)
- Proven experience building marketing systems and SOPs from scratch
- Strong ClickUp experience
- Working knowledge of paid social, email, and landing page workflows
- Highly organized, detail-obsessed, and never loses track of a task
- Proactive: you don't wait to be told what to do, and you're comfortable holding teammates and agencies accountable
- Strong written English and comfort with AI tools
- You'll Thrive If YouSee a messy process and can't help but fix itFollow up without being reminded
- Would rather prevent a fire than put one out
- You Won't Fit If YouNeed step-by-step instructions
- Are uncomfortable chasing people for deadlines
- Want a purely admin VA role
- Compensation $2,500-5,000/mo, based on experience. Full-time remote, with room to grow as the team scales.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio β just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer β usually within two working days.
