About the role

Platform Engineer This is a backend/systems role, not analytics: you'll design the schemas, migrations, and real-time pipelines behind hundreds of concurrent ML jobs that extract data from dense technical documents. You'll have greenfield ownership and freedom to choose the right tools. Build real-time ingestion for high-volume ML output and consolidate messy existing schemas into a clean, scalable architecture. Power the data layer behind an AI agent product and make data easy for other engineers to query. Requires 5+ years of engineering experience, a CS or Computer Engineering degree, production experience with data-intensive systems, and deep database knowledge (Postgres/Aurora preferred).
Nice to have: streaming or event-driven pipelines, OLAP/columnar engines (e.g., DuckDB, Click House), and Temporal. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
