- First Shift Warehouse Operations Supervisor Job Responsibilities:
Lead the Team· Lead, motivate, and engage a team of 30 to 40 receivers, stockers, and order selectors, to achieve peak performance through efficient operation.· Coach, develop, and hold team members accountable to defined safety, performance, attendance, quality, and standard operating procedures.· Conduct daily team meetings to reinforce company values, safety initiatives and performance expectations· Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work culture
Drive Safety and Performance· Monitor performance metrics and operational efficiencies; identify concerns and provide appropriate remedies.· Conduct powered equipment training classes and certifications· Conduct incident and near miss investigations; support root cause analysis and implement preventive measures· Implement onboarding, cross training, and qualification programs for receivers, stockers, and order selectors.· Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse to ensure a clean and safe work environment
Build the Next 100 Years· Drive inventory control and oversee inventory audits to protect inventory integrity and control cost· Collaborate with other departments to satisfy customer demand and enhance operational flow· Utilize warehouse management and enterprise resource planning systems to support operations and make data-driven decisions that move the operation forward· Lead continuous improvement initiatives that make the operation more efficient
First Shift Warehouse Operations Supervisor Job Qualifications:· 2-5 years of warehouse leadership experience· Experience applying lean tools (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma)· Familiarity with OSHA and safety compliance· ERP/WMS system experience· Must be willing to work 40-50 hours per week· High school diploma or GED; degree in supply chain, logistics or business preferred· Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds, stand, bend, reach, twist, walk throughout shiftEEO Employer
