Administrative Associate II (S): Salary Grade Range: $31,200.00 - $51,249.00 The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14,000 employees. It is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention, protection, and preparation as well as the care, custody, and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. This position is located at Lincoln Correctional Center located in Lincolnton, N.C. (Lincoln County), which is a 242-bed minimum custody facility and employs approximately 61 staff. This position will primarily be the secretary to the Warden and perform a variety of administrative, clerical, and office support duties. Key duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Operate the switchboard; greet, direct, and assist visitors, staff, and other individuals in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Record and prepare accurate minutes for weekly and monthly meetings.
  • Provide backup support for Trust Fund and Accounting functions as needed.
  • Compile, organize, update, and maintain departmental files and records.
  • Composition of memos and letters.
  • Processing Offender Mail.
  • Operate standard office equipment, including photocopiers, fax machines, and scanners.
