About the role
Student Worker Position The student worker will assist the AT/SM Staff in the set-up/break down of athletic practices/games that will occur on the Del Val Athletic fields. They will also assist in the monitoring and observation of student athletes for any obvious signs of injury or illness that may occur during practices/games while being supervised by a member of the full-time Del Val AT/SM staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Pre-practice or pre-game set up of necessary AT/SM equipment.
- Filling and maintaining water coolers, water bottles, and ice chests during practices/games.
Driving golf cart for purposes of setting up AT/SM equipment necessary to cover athletic practices/games, filling and maintain hydration stations, transporting injured/ill S-A's off the athletic filed to the sideline, satellite AT facility, or main AT facility for further assessment and treatment as determined by any certified professional member of the AT/SM staff.
Observing practice/game to monitor for potential injury and notify AT covering if they see something that needs further investigation.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Optional)
Knowledge: Basic First Aid and CPR skills, Basic driving skills to operate a golf cart safely
Skill: Strong interpersonal communication and listening skills.
Ability: take and follow directions particularly in an emergency.
Education and Experience:
- Currently enrolled as a full-time Del Val student.
- Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Physical characteristics:
- Must be able to lift approximately 75 pounds with assistance.
- Sitting, standing, walking or driving golf cart around athletic fields and university facilities.
Working conditions:
Travel to Away FB contests with AT/SM Staff Exposure to weather conditions including below freezing temperatures, high heat and humidity, direct sun, rain, snow, sleet, fog, high winds.
