Role Description:
The Web Designer role at WD.ai is a full-time, remote position focused on designing and refining visually compelling, user-friendly websites and web applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating wireframes, mockups, and design systems; producing high-quality visual assets; and collaborating with product managers, developers, and other designers to translate requirements into intuitive interfaces. The Web Designer will optimize designs for responsiveness across devices, ensure consistency with brand guidelines, and iterate on layouts based on user feedback and analytics. This role also involves preparing assets for front-end implementation, documenting design decisions, and contributing to continuous improvements in the overall user experience.
Qualifications:
Ability to plan and execute Web Design and Responsive Web Design for modern, user-centered websites. Strong Graphic Design and Graphics skills for creating icons, illustrations, and visual assets. Foundational understanding of Front-End Development practices to collaborate effectively with engineers. Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar).Knowledge of UX principles, accessibility standards, and best practices for usability. Excellent communication, collaboration, and time-management skills in a remote setting. Portfolio demonstrating web and interface design work; experience in tech or SaaS environments is beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
