About the role
- Follow all Johns Manville safety procedures and policies
- Relieve other employees as directed
- Maintain communication to ensure quality product is being made
- Maintaining daily housekeeping requirements
- Follow JSA/SOP'sWear proper clothing and PPE as required
- Complete all training and meetings
- Understand and use all appropriate checks and checklists
- Complete production reporting

- Be signed off on all Operator 1 job qualifications
- Must be able to accurately read a tape measure, work instruction, finished product specifications.
- Have general math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages).Beginner to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft office).Solid Communication Skills (written/verbal).Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- The physical requirements of this position are: (these requirements are typical for most of our manufacturing roles)
- The ability to stand for extended periods
- The ability to manually lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions.
- Use of hands (repetitive motion, grabbing, feeling, sensing, pulling)
- The ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment
- The ability to safely and effectively work in an often-dusty work environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures (very hot to very cold).The ability to withstand the rigors of working a 12(or 8)-hour rotating shift schedule.
- The ability to bend, stoop or kneel repetitively.
- The ability to reach or work above the shoulder
