About the role
A Global Bank in New York City is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as Vice President on their Strategy and Execution team.
Responsibilities:
Help define and implement the future-state operating model for a complex global Finance organization.
Translate broader business priorities into a clear, multi-year Finance transformation roadmap.
Lead large-scale initiatives spanning controllership, accounts payable, financial planning and analysis, and other core Finance functions.
Partner with Finance and Technology leadership to evaluate business needs, establish priorities, and develop practical solutions.
Define target-state processes, solution principles, and measurable outcomes while ensuring initiatives remain executable and aligned with business objectives.
Facilitate cross-functional working sessions focused on process design, decision-making, implementation, and user adoption.
Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for key Finance systems and workflows.
Drive integration and process simplification across general ledger, subledger, consolidation, planning, and reconciliation platforms.
Identify opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
Evaluate transformation risks, dependencies, and implementation challenges while coordinating appropriate remediation efforts.
Communicate strategic recommendations, design decisions, and potential trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.8+ years of experience across FP&A, financial accounting, Finance transformation, strategy, or related advisory roles within financial services.
CPA, CFA, or a comparable professional certification preferred.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounts payable, FP&A, and broader Finance operations.
Proven experience designing and leading large-scale Finance transformation initiatives from strategy through implementation.
Ability to operate effectively at both the strategic and detailed solution-design levels.
Experience with major Finance platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or OneStream.
Practical experience applying automation, artificial intelligence, and other technology-enabled solutions within Finance or related functions.
