About the role
Project Superintendent: Water & Wastewater We are currently working with a well-established general contractor that is looking to add an experienced Project Superintendent to their Water & Wastewater Division in the Knoxville, TN area. This is an opportunity to join a growing contractor with a strong presence in the Southeast, working on complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects while taking ownership of field operations from start to finish.
The Role:
• Lead and manage overall field operations• Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, drawings, specifications, and field activities• Establish project budgets and monitor costs throughout construction• Identify cost variances and implement solutions to keep projects on track• Identify project risks and work proactively to mitigate them• Communicate quality expectations to subcontractors and vendors• Conduct quality control inspections throughout the project• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA standards, and applicable regulations• Maintain a clean, safe, and productive jobsite• Manage personnel and complete daily timekeeping• Prepare daily reports and project logs• Work closely with project management and other members of the project team What We're Looking For• 6+ years of construction experience• Previous experience as a Project Superintendent or similar field leadership position• Water/wastewater construction experience• Experience with treatment plants, pump stations, underground utilities, or related municipal infrastructure• Strong understanding of field operations, scheduling, cost control, and subcontractor coordination• Ability to take ownership of a project and drive field operations forward• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills• Commitment to safety, quality, schedule, and project performance• High School Diploma or equivalent• Basic computer skills
