Location: Colonial Heights, VA Hybrid, travel, on-site: On-Site 5 Days a Week 8am-4:30pm; 30% travel (including some international)

Annual Salary: $110K-$115K (This is extremely flexible depending on the candidate)

Job Description: Insight Global is seeking an Application Engineer for one of our large industrial manufacturing clients. This individual will serve as a trusted technical advisor, working directly with transformer OEMs to deliver high-performance insulation solutions using advanced Diamond Dot Paper coating technology. The role blends hands-on engineering expertise with consultative sales, offering the opportunity to influence product innovation, support manufacturing excellence, and drive revenue through technically sound, customer-focused solutions.

Must Haves: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science 3–5+ years of experience in application engineering Direct experience within the power transformer/electrical insulation industry or experience within the paper industry. Strong customer-facing, consultative communication skills
