About the role
- GED or equivalent combination of experience and training
- Exposure or experience in a distribution center or warehousing experience
- Previous experience with MS Office (Word, Excel), FedEx, UPS and USPS systems are helpful
- Knowledge or interest in learning warehouse practices and procedures, inventory control, common carrier and shipping procedures and documentation, standard safety practices, record keeping and filing
- Knowledge of or interest in lighting technology or industry
- Ability to organize, stock and issue supplies and equipment
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and writing)
- Must have excellent attention to detail for accuracy, be driven, goal-oriented, and work well with limited supervision
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, kneel and reach to perform work for extended periods of time
