Role Overview: Command the FieldOur client is seeking two experienced and highly motivated Construction Superintendents to serve as definitive leaders on their field operations team. This is a critical, high-visibility role demanding exceptional on-site leadership and deep technical expertise in ground-up construction methodologies. If you bring a passion for managing the complete lifecycle of a build—from foundation to final punch list—and a track record of career stability on major NYC projects, our client wants to connect with you.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Execution & Excellence: As a Superintendent, you will serve as the primary on-site authority, driving quality, safety, and timely delivery across major developments. Field Command: Oversee and lead all day-to-day field operations on assigned ground-up construction projects, driving progress schedules and optimizing resource allocation. Quality & Delivery: Guarantee projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the high-caliber standards required by top capital clients. Trade Leadership: Expertly coordinate, direct, and supervise all subcontractors, vendors, and site labor to maintain maximum productivity and accountability. NYC Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict compliance with all NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) codes, OSHA standards, and site safety protocols to maintain a zero-incident work environment. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Project Managers, architects, structural engineers, and client reps to proactively resolve field conditions and maintain site momentum. Reporting & Tracking: Provide clear, detailed daily log entries and weekly progress reports to executive leadership on milestones, logistics, and risk mitigation.
Qualifications:
  • What You BringNYC Registration: Must possess an active NYC Department of Buildings Superintendent License/Registration (Mandatory).Ground-Up Track Record: 6–8+ years of dedicated construction experience with a proven history of managing full project lifecycles from foundation to completion.
  • High-Rise / Commercial Scope: Demonstrated field experience leading high-rise residential or large-scale commercial ground-up builds within NYC.Decisive Leadership: Strong site presence with the ability to manage diverse trades, enforce site safety, and maintain schedule velocity.
  • Professional Stability: A history of career tenure and steady progression with prior employers.

  • Competitive Base Salary: $140,000 – $180,000 (commensurate with experience)
